I received a copy of Lucado Treasury of Bedtime Prayers: Prayers for Bedtime and Every... from Family Christian stores to provide them with an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I have always loved the simplistic beauty of Max Lucado’s work. He is able to take the complexities of scripture and weave stories and illustrations that are easy to relate to today, simple yet elegant. It is usually around Easter and Christmas when I find myself with one of his books in hand. As toddlers my children enjoyed Hermie and Buzby. I’ve been known to break out one of his beautifully illustrated children’s books for a last minute Sunday school.
A Lucado Treasury of Bedtime Prayers: Prayers for Bedtime and Every... hosts a collection of 200 prayers. Some are brand new and others are classics, updated with tiny people in mind. As always, they are crafted beautifully teaching truths from God’s word and framed in beautiful illustrations.
Perhaps it is Lucado’s standard of excellence, the way he presents the stories not just in crafted words but wrapped in art, that makes his children’s books so appealing. This book is perfect to help calm bedtime, as a baby shower gift, or for quiet time for young readers.
