This site is all about you and me. It is about OUR journey in finding the joy in the everyday. The posts you find here are nothing more than a catalyst into the how-to’s of discovering joy. I hope that together we find friendship, community and encouragement along the way. At the same time it is my prayer that the resources we lead one another to will strengthen our families and our faith.
I would love to hear your story. Introduce yourself. Who are you? Where are you? And if you’re brave share where you are at in your journey of finding joy as well as what you hope to gain by joining us here.
I’ll go first…
As I travel through my life, ups and downs and all the crazy side bars, I want to find the joy in every moment. In these pages I write about my experience as a military spouse, as the mother of a young cancer survivor, my crazy attempts at homeschooling and as someone trying to make sense of my faith.
I have committed my life to be the wife and best friend of one man, the mother of three amazing children, and a minister of the Gospel.
I promise to always be honest along the journey.
2015 has been a big year for us. I was recently awarded the Fort Bliss Military Spouse of the Year and our family received the AUSA General of the Army Omar N. Bradley Fort Bliss Family of the year. Finding Joy: The Year Apart That Made Me A Better Wife was released in October 2015. I am available for speaking engagements and freelance. Just pitch your need/idea to HopeGriff @ gmail.com
Before coming to Ft Bliss I earned my Masters in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary and my B.A. in English at the University of Central Arkansas. I currently serve as the Director of Family Ministries at First Presbyterian in El Paso, TX.
I’m constantly working on improving my writing through study and workshops and love to share them on this site. I love to learn new things and always have a project in the works.
I hope you will join me in finding joy in the everyday; through the victories, trials and the mundane.
Hope N. Griffin

Hope,
I responded to your question about prototyping you posted at the Transition Ministries Group website. Let’s open a dialog around this issue to see if you can discover a path that will work in your present situation.
You asked where have we been stationed. We were stationed in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Also in Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart in Savannah, Georgia.
Did you have a favorite?
Amber which was your favorite. I’ve always wanted to be stationed in Hawaii and Savannah. Both are beautiful locations!
We have been at Baumbholder, Germany, Fort Campbell Kentucky, Fort Bliss Texas
Fort Bliss 😉 Imagine that. We visited Germany and loved our two weeks. What did you enjoy the most there? Was it your first duty station?
