Find Joy in Everyday

#JoyHopeLive {11}

This past week we’ve been moving from one house to another, just a mile down the road. I’ve learned a few things during this little adventure.

#1 Hiring movers and a cleaning crew is cheaper then family therapy.

#2 If you’re not going to splurge for those two at least rent a U-haul. Just because it’s a mile down the road does not mean pick-ups and four runners are going to do the job.

#3 My family is loved by a lot of patient people willing to share pickups and sore muscles.

#4 Balfour Beatty is an excellent housing community. The houses keep getting nicer and so do the people.

#5 Oscar from bulk pick up is my new best friend.

How have you been finding joy this week? Link up with us and let us know.

Throughout the summer I have two new series: Military Staycations and My Favorite Home School Resources. My weekly giveaways and book reviews will continue as well as the monthly installment to Women of the Bible.

Featured Post from Last Week’s LinkUp

This week the featured post for #JoyHopeLive is from Jebbica's World @Jebbica Click To Tweet

This week our featured post is from Jebbica’s World. Jebbica has a number of great tips for eating healthy out and some great recipes and cooking tips when eating in spread throughout her blog. She is a regular contributor to this linkup and I love reading her posts. Last week she linked up Grilling Tips, Tricks & Recipes and has a giveaway going on through June 1, 2025 for the DVD Dare to Cook: Barbecue & Grilling With Chef Tom Small. Her post was perfect in it’s timing. The weather has been beautiful and my kitchen is full of boxes. The only fully unpacked area of our house right now is the back porch, grill, and smoker so what better time then now to put some of these tips to the test.

I will be featuring one link from the previous week that I felt captured the essence of finding joy in the everyday. I will also be sharing a a little bit of how I’ve been finding the joy in the past week. I hope you will join us for this midweek share of joy. Grab the button and the #JoyHopeLive. Comment on the ones you love and share at least two posts from other bloggers. Tag me on Facebook or via twitter @HopeNGriffin with your week’s #JoyHopeLive. I can’t wait to read them!

  1. #1 made me laugh! #2 is something my husband and I already stated we would do should we get the opportunity to move again…this after he was one of the ones for a very long weekend with a pick-up truck helping a friend move their over 3,000 sq. foot home. He hurt for DAYS. #3 is a BLESSING.

    And congratulations on the new home!!

  2. Great chatting with you about books this morning during the SITS Blogging chat. I host a Small Victories Sunday linkup which is similar in nature to this one, focused on celebrating small victories and the positive moments in our lives. I hope you linkup with us too (linkup is open all week long and this week’s starts tonight at 8pm EST). Anyway, thanks for hosting and looking forward to visiting some great posts.
