One of the things I love the most about the summer are the options. There are so many fun camps that come along in our community. There are camps offered at UTEP, on post and a few at our church as well focusing on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). Then there are the Vacation Bible Schools on top of that. I’ve collected a list of fun resources in El Paso for the kids.
We’ve been busy with drama camps and have plans for STEAM, gymnastics, and parkour this summer. We will be experiencing a science themed VBS at our church (Elements of Trust) and a journey through Proverbs with the Ft Bliss Camp Killimanjaro VBS. We plan on going to the local science museum as often as possible and attending the science themed camps at First Presbyterian.
We’ve been talking about staycations here over the last month. Part of staying put is finding fun things to do for the kids. Here is a list of activities and links that you can use to get your kids involved in camps and VBS in El Paso this summer. Of course hitting the pool at least twice a week is high on our list, as well as minecraft, reading lists, and lots of time with friends. One kid wants everything to be science related while another just wants to read and do drama. We are mixing it up a little and encouraging them all to share in each other’s interests.
Share in the comments what your kids favorite summer activity is. I’m always looking for new ideas for mine.

Yay, Camp! I love camp!
Our local library has kids events in the summertime - we are also lucky to live near a park with a wading pool. My kids also enjoy taking a drive to the airport - we take snacks, park in the free lot, and watch the planes take off and land!
Playing outside with the kids, nature walks and talking is some of our favorite things.
