My Week of #JoyHopeLive
This last week we celebrated the life of one of my husband’s friends, a battle buddy. It’s hard to say goodbye to a life that ended to soon. But there was great joy in celebrating who he was and the memory those who served with him will carry with them. It was a reminder to check in with one another, an opportunity to see old friends, and to hug and love on those still with us. He will be greatly missed, but his infectious smile and kindness will always be remembered. If you have recently experienced a loss know that I am praying for you (My Prayer for You as You Grieve) and that mourning brings comfort (Have you found comfort? I did. Here’s how.)
On a lighter note, the kids and I have been busy in the kitchen. Family Christian sent us the Bernstain Bears Country Cookbook in exchange for an honest review.
The girls happily took on the task of making monkey bread, scotch eggs, and mug cakes. You can read the full review here and enter for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to Family Christian.
I can’t wait to hear what you have been doing to Find Joy in the Everyday! Personally, I’ve decided I’m done being a grownup and am staying a kid a little longer. You can read all about it in my open letter to grownups. Link up and come back next week to share again and see who will be featured.
Featured Post from Last Weeks LinkUp
I discovered some wonderful new blogs and had some great conversations on line with some of you who linked up last week. One of the blogs I fell in love with was Walking on Sunshine. The moment I hit her site I smiled. From tempting pictures of desert and dinner to link parties, her site radiates joy. My favorites are her Scripture Sundays. Each of them is frameable and absolutely pinterest worthy. I just need a few more frames and a little more colored ink to get the full benefit.
By linking up, you agree to the following rules:
1. Add a link that captures how you Find Joy in the Everyday. It can be a craft, book review, personal story, etc. Just make sure it captures joy.
2. Tweet or share on Facebook your link with #JoyHopeLive. Each week I add the posts to a pinterest board. Go love and share some pins.
3. Comment on the posts you love. You are only required to share or comment on two of your favorites (you choose). Be sure to include #JoyHopeLive when you do.
4. Grab the button! Share it on your sidebar or in your post.
Thanks for the new party! Have a great week.
Thanks so much for having a link up party, I look forward to joining them!!!
