For the last year John and I have been off again on again a real food adventure. Yes, we have definitely caved a time or two and headed over to Popeye’s (only to regret it afterwards). We love food.
John and I met in a kitchen. He was a cook at the Olive Garden and I was there for my first day as a hostess. One of my first memories of his mom is standing in her kitchen, with John and her sister, discussing spices and cooking classes. John was raised by foodies and slowly sucked me in.
Soon, I was working at Central Market in Dallas where they employ people just to walk around with the title foodie helping others find the perfect ingredient. While there I learned to make pasta from scratch, roll sushi, and shop seasonal. I met a few celebrity chefs and took cooking classes every month. I discovered the hatch chili pepper and real peanut butter.
John thrived in the food business working as a restaurant manager for chains as well as mom and pops. Though his job is not currently food he loves getting in the kitchen. He finds therapy in creating new dishes and I find comfort in his food.
We love eating out. Though I have to admit, John grills the best steak and chicken in all of El Paso. Now on most nights you will find our family around the TV watching Hell’s Kitchen or Master Chef discussing who did what and how they could have done it better. Even the five year old gets into it. We love food.
We love food but we struggle with finding the time to commit to doing it well. When I was working we settled for a late night pizza or a couple cheeseburgers. Habits that we are now working hard to break cemented themselves into our lives.
I am not the chef in the family. My soldier is. So my attempts at making fresh pasta sometimes turn into a yelling match, my desire to get the children to eat more veggies are defeated into the trash can, and I am running out of ideas.
So when I came across this 2014 Healthy Bundle set I couldn’t have been more excited. I need ideas for real food and part of this bundle has just that! With 13 cookbooks filled with real food recipes it is well worth the $29, not to mention the many other books in the bundle.
There are so many books and e-courses that come with this library that it can be a little overwhelming. The cookbooks alone make it well worth the price and I can’t wait to get started on spicing up our families real food adventure.
There isn’t much time left to get this great deal. Today is the last day. Don’t miss out!

After you’ve made some of the recipes or tried any of the e-courses I would love to hear about them. Let us know your favorites in the comments below. Or if you have a blog with a few healthy recipes let us know about it. I’m always on the hunt for new ideas.
