This book has been a fun distraction from an otherwise hectic week. A Nancy Drew fan myself, I love the references and the subtle detective work. The characters are soft and fun to get to know, they each have a well developed back story that adds depth. The historical element of the book was very informative. I learned some new things about the Atlantic and our Navy during that time period. The romance is light, innocent, and somewhat predictable. Through Waters Deep does not disappoint as a historical romance. To top it off this is one of the cutest giveaways I’ve had on my blog. Love the tote! Grab a copy of the book, enter to win the Anchors Aweigh Giveaway and come back and tell me what you thought.

Experience Healing and Mending with Cynthia Ruchti’s New Book and Reclaimed Treasures Giveaway
This book was sent to me by Litfuse in exchange for an honest review
I’ve been sitting in doctor’s offices and ERs reading this book, beside the bed of my best friend. We are at a loss as to what is wrong other then a great amount of pain. It’s the reason my blog has been somewhat silent this week as I sit in silence and wait for answers. The slowness of a diagnoses begins to get to me and then I stumble on the words of Ruchti’s own story of waiting years for a diagnosis and the peace that only God can give.
Learning to Mend and Resting in God
Book Giveaway of Tattered and Mended: The Art of Healing the Wounded Soul
Mending is a process. It hurts, it takes time, but it is necessary. We all have our own stories and I would love to hear yours. I’ve shared a few of mine already on this blog from my brokenness over my daughter’s cancer and how learning to finally grieve brought me to a new found faith. I also shared how I burned out from ministry and took a forced sabbatical to refresh and refocus. I’m still learning to tend to my own tattered soul rather then feel the need to always put my big girl panties on and push forward.

Runaway Radical: When Doing Good Goes Bad
Book Review and Giveaway
I can’t say I liked this book. It’s similar to that feeling where you leave your cursor hovering over a fb status unsure of committing to a like. You’ve just read your friend’s sudden outburst of pain or grief and your left wanting to affirm them. You want to say I hear you, I understand and yet there is no simple click to express your empathy and typed words come out flat.
Family Christian sent me Runaway Radical: A Young Man's Reckless Journey to Save the World in exchange for an honest review.
Become a Better Friend
Natalie Chambers Snapp’s ‘Heart Sisters’ and Girls’ Night Out Giveaway
I mentioned Saturday in Should Christians be “Unoffendable” that I felt God deals with me in themes. So it should come as no surprise that the next book I pick up would build on the one before. Unoffendable was all about offering grace because we have been given so much. It spoke on how to deal with the world at large as well as those close to us, how to come alongside those with different opinions and world views and do life peacefully. Heart Sisters dug in to the inner circle.
