Become a Better Friend

Natalie Chambers Snapp’s ‘Heart Sisters’ and Girls’ Night Out Giveaway

I mentioned Saturday in Should Christians be “Unoffendable” that I felt God deals with me in themes. So it should come as no surprise that the next book I pick up would build on the one before. Unoffendable was all about offering grace because we have been given so much. It spoke on how to deal with the world at large as well as those close to us, how to come alongside those with different opinions and world views and do life peacefully. Heart Sisters dug in to the inner circle.

Litfuse Publicity sent me the book Heart Sisters by Natalie Chambers Snapp in exchange for an honest review.

Unoffendable gave me the courage and the conviction to reach out to those who I had previously let go offering reconciliation. Heart Sisters reminded me that we don’t let go of the people but we do let go of the pain and anger. We give forgiveness and we show love despite the outcome. Loving our neighbors, loving our friends, means that we extend grace and forgiveness. Friendships aren’t easy. There will be conflict. It is how we work through those conflicts that produce heart sisters.

Natalie Chambers Snapp writes very candidly on friendships. Drawing from her own experiences (failures and successes) she shares what a Heart Sister should and should not be. She tackles online friendships, face to face friends, and Queen Bees. She shares the etiquettes of conflict online and off and leaves words of encouragement that we can all do better. If you have struggled with maintaining friendships or making deep friendship then this book is for you. Buy it now: http://amzn.to/1GZPCzT

  1. I’d say what makes a good friend is someone who really listens to you without judgment, and someone who is there for you in time of need.

  2. I have a very special heart sister! Just today I chatted with her over problems she’s having in her family. Our conversation ended with a deep, heartfelt prayer to God, thanking Him for being Lord over all our lives and offering praise for all He does for us. She is truly a gift from God!

  3. Good friends are hard to find…. there are so many people I enjoy being around but who are not willing to challenge me. That is what sets a true friend apart!
