This week so far has been all about our neighbors (online and off), relationships being the key to business, and some practical steps to work through your passions to bless the world around you. I know you’re here to share with us how you are finding joy in your everyday. This week I’m sharing a favorite from last week that fit naturally into this theme of relationship building via social media, so before you link up be sure to check out Jonathan Key’s Leave Comments on Other Blogs. I know this is an area I can definitely grow in.
This Week’s Featured Post
Leave Comments on Other Blogs by Jonathan Key jumped out at me. This is such an important component to having a successful link up. One of the aspects Key points out is that by commenting on other blogs, correctly, we build our own following as well. When we give we get. Key has some practical application for every one of us participating in #JoyHopeLive.
Here is a recap of my week and a few social media tips for you:
If you don’t want to see this part just scroll on down to the linkup below… but you’re gonna miss out on some great tips this week to grow your platform.
Last week I shared about the amazing entrepreneurs I met at September’s #USAADigiMil. This week I shared some of the tips and resources that were given to us. There are enough resources in this post to keep you busy for days, and I promise you you will learn ALOT. Just click the image below to start.
Our world is shrinking and becoming more transparent then ever. Sunday I had the opportunity to preach at MCC in El Paso, TX. They asked me to share about the Good Samaritan in Luke 10. You can read or listen to the full sermon and learn how our neighbors are not just in the cubical beside us anymore, they’ve gone virtual. Just click the image below.
This week’s book review is about a book written by one of those amazing people I met at USAADigiMil, Rick Yost. This is a great book for younger children to teach them that police officers and others who stand up to protect us do so from a calling and a passion. Click on the image to read more and find out where to get your own copy.
Here is my confession of being a couch potato. Castle and Beckett have won my heart. This last episode was a tear jerker (and yes there are spoilers). It provided the perfect opportunity to talk about the feelings, fear, and trust that comes with deployments. Click the image below to find out the effect of security clearances on marriages.
Now for what you’re really here for!

There are so many ways we can pursue joy in our lives, but it has to come from the heart. Being momentarily happy and possessing an internal authentic joy in the face of difficult circumstances are two very different things. I believe it is the little moments of happiness that help shape and prepare us for the difficult life circumstances we all face. My question is what do you do in your everyday that brings you happiness and fosters a deep found joy in your life?
By linking up, you agree to the following rules:
1. Add a link that captures how you Find Joy in the Everyday. It can be a craft, book review, personal story, etc. Just make sure it captures joy. Do not link up other link parties or product reviews.
2. Tweet or share on Facebook your link with #JoyHopeLive (this makes it simpler for me to give you a retweet and comment). Each week we add the posts to a pinterest board. Go love and share some pins.
3. Comment on the posts you love and the two directly before yours. Be sure to include #JoyHopeLive when you do so they know where you found them.
