Like nearly every other person I know, I love the fall season. Pumpkin everything, cooler weather, and festivals fill our days. This year I’m excited to be participating in the planning of a Reformation Fair taking place on October 24th at First Presbyterian Church of El Paso. I’m learning more every day about the reformers. I am thankful for the freedoms they have afforded me in pursuing theological studies and I am excited to share that love for scripture and church history with the children of our church, particularly my own children.
Here’s what has been happening at Finding Joy in the Everyday this past week.

There are so many ways we can pursue joy in our lives, but it has to come from the heart. Being momentarily happy and possessing an internal authentic joy in the face of difficult circumstances are two very different things. I believe it is the little moments of happiness that help shape and prepare us for the difficult life circumstances we all face. My question is what do you do in your everyday that brings you happiness and fosters a deep found joy in your life?
