Find Joy in the Everyday #JoyHopeLive {7}

Saturday I met the organizers for the 2015 Relay for Life in person for the first time. We’ve been talking by phone and email but it’s always fun to put faces to names. Relay for Life is one of our family’s favorite events of the year. Our very first one our cancer survivor, a toddler at the time, was the Grand Marshall of the event. She led the survivor lap with cameras flashing all around her. Since then she looks forward to this event every year.

We would love for you to join our team, light a luminary, or donate in honor of a family member. Here is the link to sponsor our daughter this year ( http://main.acsevents.org/goto/KatieGriffin ). You can help her reach her fundraising goal of $1000 or join our team.

I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold,… Click To Tweet

Featured Post from Last Weeks LinkUp

Last week Laura Acuna linked up with us on finding joy in the midst of grieving her mother’s death. “You Will Never Truly Understand {until it happens to you}” She speaks of sadness and joy coexisting, of leaning on Christ and God’s Word for strength. I encourage you to find comfort in the beauty of her words and the raw power of her grief. Lift up a prayer for her family and leave an encouraging word.

I will be featuring one link from the previous week that I felt captured the essence of finding joy in the everyday. I will also be sharing a a little bit of how I’ve been finding the joy in the past week. I hope you will join us for this midweek share of joy. Grab the button and the #JoyHopeLive. Comment on the ones you love and share at least two posts from other bloggers. Tag me on Facebook or via twitter @HopeNGriffin with your week’s #JoyHopeLive. I can’t wait to read them!

  1. Joy and sadness can and DO coexist. No way to explain it other than “But God”

    I pray this is an encouragement to many.

    thanks for all you do!

  2. So many people miss out on the everyday joys because their circumstances consume them. The Joy is there and they have to choose to see them.

    Thanks for how you are sharing God’s Joy through your work!
