I fell in love with this book by the time I read the first page, for no other reason then Turner is my maiden name. Where Treetops Glisten is all about a beautiful family, the Turners, whose love for each other and God help them overcome the struggles in life. It was so much fun reading this Christmas Romance while thinking of my own Grandparents and how they met during the war.

Like Abagail Turner in White Christmas, my Grandmother had already lost a fiancee to the war. When she met Grandad the war was underway and she had to say goodbye to another soldier after he head back to war.
