Have you joined Masks for Medical Workers in Tampa Bay yet? If not you are missing out! Join our Facebook You don’t have to be a sewer to join this group, I’m not much of one and to be honest, I’ve been moving the pieces behind the scenes so much I haven’t had a chance to sit down and sew a single mask.
Stories about our group in the news
Chelsea Potthast, our resident designer, had the opportunity to share Mask for Medical Workers in Tampa Bay’s mission on Channel 10.

If you are interested in featuring any of our leaders or volunteers in an upcoming story please check out our Media Kit and Facebook group. Any of the admins would be happy to speak with you. We are also interviewing our volunteers and posting their stories on this site under News/ Meet Our Volunteers.
Volunteers who don’t sew
You don’t have to sew to be a part of this group. We need lots of help. Be sure to fill out the online volunteer form so we can mobilize you quickly. We still need more sewers but that’s not all we need to make this project work.
We need fabric cutters
We have good news! Fabric donations are coming in. However, we want to keep the sewers sewing and are looking for people we can deliver the fabric to who will cut and assemble kits we can then drop off to those sewing.
Drivers
We are using Sign Up Genius to organize pick-ups and deliveries.
New places are added throughout the day. As more fabric comes in there will also be an increased need to deliver materials.
Social Media Warriors
Recruit more sewers to join our group, please! Reach out to people in the media who can spread the word as well. Send them to www.HopeforTampa.com. There is a press release and pictures they can use in the media kit.
Donate supplies
On our donate supplies page you’ll find a list of needed supplies and how to order through Amazon and have it distributed to our sewers. Or on the about page you will find a list of drop off locations. Supplies can be left at any of these and we will distribute them to cutters and sewers.

I can still cut fabric.
Thanks Mary! Make sure to fill out the form at https://www.hopengriffin.com/about/ so that you are automatically added to the contact list. We’ll be sending out some emails soon. We also post on our facebook group Masks for Medical Workers in Tampa Bay when we have fabric donated and need help cutting.
